मुंबई पुणे शिवनेरी ST बसच्या ड्रायव्हरला तडकाफडकी निलंबीत करण्यात आले आहे. परिवहनमंत्री प्रताप सरनाईक यांच्या निर्देशानुसार ही कारवाई करण्यात आली आहे. शिवनेरी बसचा ड्रायह्वर बस चालवत मोबाईल वर मॅच बघत होता. प्रवाशांच्या सुरक्षेच्या अनुषंगाचे परिवहनमंत्र्यांनी ही निलंबनाची कारवाई केली आहे.
परिवहन मंत्री प्रताप सरनाईक यांच्या निर्देशानुसार बस चालवत मोबाईलवर क्रिकेट मॅच बघणाऱ्या खाजगी चालकाला एसटी प्रशासनाने बडतर्फ केले आहे. तसेच संबंधित खाजगी कंपनीला 5 हजार रुपयांचा दंड ठोठावला आहे. 22 मार्च रोजी सायंकाळी 7 वाजता दादर येथून स्वारगेट (पुणे) साठी निघालेल्या खाजगी ई-शिवनेरी बसमधील चालक रात्री लोणावळा जवळ बस चालवत क्रिकेट मॅच पाहत होता.
बसमधून प्रवास करणाऱ्या काही प्रवाशांनी बस चालवताना मॅच पाहणाऱ्या ड्रायव्हरचा व्हिडिओ शूट केला आमि हा व्हिडिओ परिवहन मंत्री प्रताप सरनाईक यांना पाठवला. याबाबत मंत्री सरनाईक यांनी तातडीने एसटीच्या वरिष्ठ अधिकाऱ्यांना नियमानुसार कठोर कारवाई करण्याचे निर्देश दिले. त्यानुसार एसटीच्या स्थानिक अधिकाऱ्यांनी संबंधित खाजगी संस्थेच्या चालकास प्रवाशांचा जीव धोक्यात घालून बेशिस्त वाहनं चालवल्या प्रकरणी बडतर्फ केले असून संबंधित खाजगी संस्थेला 5 हजार रुपयांचा दंड ठोठावला आहे.
ई-शिवनेरी ही एसटीची मुंबई -पुणे मार्गावर धावणारी प्रतिष्ठित बस सेवा आहे. या बसमधून अनेक सन्माननीय व्यक्ती प्रवास करीत असतात. ” अपघातविरहित सेवा ” हा या बस सेवेचा नावलौकिक आहे. त्यामुळे अशा प्रकारे बेशिस्त वाहन चालवून प्रवाशांचा जीव धोक्यात घालणाऱ्या चालकांच्यावर कठोर कारवाई करणे गरजेचे आहे असे मंत्री सरनाईक म्हणाले. त्यामुळे प्रवाशांचा एसटीच्या या प्रतिष्ठित सेवेबद्दल विश्वास दृढ होत जाईल! तसेच भविष्यात एसटीकडे असलेल्या खाजगी बसच्या चालकांना संबंधित संस्थेकडून वेळोवेळी शिस्तबद्ध वाहन चालवण्याचे प्रशिक्षण दिले जाण्याची गरज त्यांनी प्रतिपादित केली.
