भारतीय जनता पक्षाचे माजी खासदार किरीट सोमय्या यांचा कथित आक्षेपार्ह व्हिडीओ दाखविल्याप्रकरणी ‘लोकशाही मराठी’ या वृत्तवाहिनीवर पुन्हा कारवाई झाली आहे. माहिती आणि प्रसारण मंत्रालयाने चॅनलचे प्रसारण आज (मंगळवार) संध्याकाळी ६ वाजेपासून बंद करण्याचे आदेश दिलेत. तसेच, त्यांचा परवानाही 30 दिवसांसाठी निलंबित केला आहे.
14 जुलै 2023 रोजी या चॅनलवर सोमय्यांबाबत बातमी दाखवली होती. त्यानंतर काही दिवसांनी हे चॅनल 72 तास बंद करण्याची नोटीस माहिती प्रसारण मंत्रालयाने दिली होती. याविरोधात चॅनलने दिल्ली हायकोर्टात धाव घेतल्यानंतर बंदी काढून घेतली होती. पण, आता पुन्हा एकदा लोकशाही मराठीचे लायन्सस रद्द करण्याचा निर्णय घेण्यात आला आहे.
“लोकशाही मराठीने एक भूमिका मांडली. स्पष्टपणे, निर्भिडपणे पत्रकारीता करण्याचे काम केले. या 26 जानेवारी रोजी आम्ही चौथा वर्धापन दिन साजरा करणार होतो. पण, गेले काही दिवस वारंवार माहिती आणि प्रसारण मंत्रालय खात्याकडून नोटीस देण्यात येत होत्या. 14 जुलै 2023 रोजी एक बातमी दाखवली होती. आम्हाला 72 तास चॅनेल बंद करण्याची नोटीस आली होती. यानंतर दिल्ली हायकोर्टात याविरोधात आम्ही अपील केले होते. यानंतर आमच्यावरील बंदी काढून घेतली होती. पण, आता पुन्हा एकदा लोकशाही मराठीचं लायन्सस रद्द करण्याचा निर्णय घेण्यात आला आहे. चार महिन्यांपूर्वी प्रसारण खात्याने आमच्याकडून माहिती मागवली नव्हती. अचानकपणे वेगवेगळी माहिती मागविण्यात आली. यामध्ये लायन्ससबाबत प्रश्न उपस्थित करत लोकशाही मराठी बंद करण्याचे काही मिनिटांपूर्वी आदेश दिले आहेत. न्यायालयीन लढाई आम्ही लढूच”, असे लोकशाही चॅनलच्या निवेदनात म्हटले आहे.
